Ireland's social dance form, set and ceili dancing, is taught in Birmingham by Roberta Stamp at Children's Dance Foundation (Directions to CDF) in Homewood.  The Monday evening classes are designed for adults and mature teens. Alabama Academy of
Irish Dance
The Alabama Academy of Irish Dance was founded in Birmingham in 2002 and is sponsored by the Birmingham Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann. The AAID is focused on preserving the traditional Irish arts through music and dance.  Along with the Birmingham Branch of Comhaltas Ceoltoiri Eireann the AAID regularly hosts Irish Dance workshops for those who are interested in learning the art form and participating in troop. Dancers with the Alabama Academy of Irish Dance are also encouraged to explore their musical talent by studying an Irish instrument of their choice. Drake Alabama
